Carolyn has done extensive study of breeding, biomechanics, genetics and horse behavior and psychology through Michigan State University, Texas A & M Veterinary Hospital and many other venues. She participated in the USDFBS Judging Program with Hilda Gurney, and is currently participating in the USDF "L" Program. Dr. Carolyn Hoekstra, along with her husband Tim, has been practicing as an OB/GYN in Battle Creek for over 26 years, and over 29 in total. Between them they have over 56 years of experience, and have delivered over 7000 babies. They specialize in successfully treating infertility, as well as diabetes and hypertension in Pregnancy. In addition to their vast experience and skill, they are very sought-after as surgeons because of the excellent care they take with their patients. They both have their BS from the University of Michigan and their MD from Wayne State University. More details of Carolyn's equine studies coming soon.
